Thanks for dropping by to visit Rambling and Roving. We’re on our way to the airport right now. I do not look forward to sitting in those cramped quarters for five hours, however, for I am somewhat fearful that my arthritic hip will give me grief, but I will survive. We’ll be in Vancouver soon enough — by one o’clock Pacific time. Our intention is to check in with Westjet very early in the hope of snagging an aisle seat — or even two. But whether in discomfort or otherwise, we’ll land in Vancouver at one o’clock, Pacific time, and we’ll hop into our rented Thrifty car and go and hang out somewhere until the A-team gets home from work.
Who’s to know how often we’ll get to post during the three weeks that we’ll be away. Trips can get very busy. Last year, we hardly posted anything about our Arizona trip, but that was a jam-packed week; we were always on the move and usually without access to a computer. This is a longer and more leisurely vacation that should afford time for reflection and blogging, and you can bet that I am taking my trusty laptop with me this time!
Nothing’s planned, mind you. However, we have our handy-dandy travel guide with us — the one that I have hardly had time to open yet. Frommer’s served us really well on our Arizona trip. They recommended the four key things to do in Arizona if tourists only had a week to sightsee, and, by golly, they were bang on. The suggestions that I was most leery to follow − Monument Valley and Canyon de Chelly − turned out to be the highlights for me. (Maybe this forum will one day serve as a venue to revisit our Arizona ramble at some point. Why not, eh?)
So, thanks dear Blogger folk for dropping by to visit our WordPress site; I hope you’ll return frequently in the next few weeks. To try to keep you coming back, because I will miss you if you don’t, I also aim to post update notices on Raindrops, which I plan to keep as my main and ongoing blog. Before you go, however, maybe I can persuade you to make a comment (pretty please) and then to click on the About This Blog tab — having the ability to post other pages like that is a nice feature, don’t you think? Not only that but, apparently, I can pre-write a post and have it published at a specified time. I mean to say — it would be difficult to actually write and post this on my way to the airport n’est ce pas?
And if you’ve stumbled on us from WordPress and are not visiting from Blogger, I’m glad that you got here and hope that you’ll come along for the journey too.
Hope you’re having a wonderful trip!
Hi AC and Cuppa just to let you know the links are working, I’ll be looking in while you are away and I will be off myself travelling to Toronto on June 27th which may be around the time you will be returning looking forward to seeing and hearing about your holiday- enjoy 🙂
By the time you read this post you will be in Vancouver. I hope the trip went well and that you were able to snag a couple of aisle seats. I LOVE the west coast. Such a beautiful place.
Have a wonderful time. I will be sure to visit for updates.
I must admit .. I am pleased to see that you are trialling WordPress. I love this blogging platform and find it very versatile and reliable. WordPress.com is very similar to using the software program through your own domain.
Enjoy… both Vancouver and WordPress. 🙂
Just another quick note, A/C. If you use the WordPress software through WordPress.org with your own domain, etc. you can customize absolutely every little bit of the template. Fun, fun, fun!! 🙂
Doing as directing and stopping by and saying hello…can’t wait to read about the trip…
Oh oh oh! I’m the very first comment on your WordPress blog! Fun! Lookin’ good! I’ll check in on ya later!
Happy Landings, AC! I guess you’ve arrived by now. Hope your hip didn’t mind the voyage. Hi to Cuppa :0)
Have fun! Nice place you’ve got here!
This will be fun, I’ll be back!
Have a ball!
Happy trails to you both. Enjoy wherever the winds may take ye!
I’ll keep checking back, & of course look for your return whenever to Ontario.
Good luck with this, AC…I’ll try to keep up with you.
