Day dawned dully but by noon the threat of rain seemed to be over, so we headed out for a walk. Our guidebook suggests three different walking tours in Vancouver, and this area, the West End is on one of them, so we were able to pick up a portion of the stroll quite easily. The vegetation is quite lush. The trees are tall, and the flowers are blooming.

We ended up downtown sipping coffee and gazing at Coal Harbour with North Vancouver in the background.

In the evening as Althegal and Puff put in extra hours working, Cuppa and I headed out for another walk along English Bay. The sun put in a bit of an appearance as it was going down, and the bay looked quite lovely.

For a while, we sat on a large log exposed by low tide enjoying the view.

And we were quite taken by a heron that kept flying around and landing outside of decent camera range, but we took pictures regardless, thus concluding a good day.

Please be patient with Cuppa. She had an update ready to roll but lost her typing in one of those inexplicable computer malfunctions and decided to let it go for now and get herself ready to begin today’s adventures.
